Listings of grouped data by computer as described here have output regarded as a lowgrade report which conforms to rules which are not from Kand. in India. The type of listing is suitable for use by appropriate officials company officers and selected staff and workers and the limit 750 data 1 lines and 15 pages applies to every different value of an agreed principal data item.
The records of the file containing the data have to be accessed to ensure all the data items to be listed and relating to a value of a principal data item become grouped together in the listing on 1 page and any following pages, and this could include arranging the records into order using 1 or more key fields before starting the listing process.
The listings have to be produced using all upper case characters or mixed case characters depending on user preference and the type of computer printer. The content in all text and data values using allowed languages is to read left to right and is viewed left to right or right to left in print lines, in the second case text Aprc R-L Ctnt L-R or equivalent can be in or after heading 1 line. The individual words and data values in the listings have to be separated by a minimum of 1 space character whenever possible and a data value can be a result value from calculations.
There can be program run costs and local charges for using the program which are higher with page numbering. A program run should print 7 to 502 pages or limit 314 pages in England depending on the quality of the printer and authorising of other limits is possible for a specific print run. Procedures for restarting a print run are not described here.
Heading lines
Heading 1 line has to show the name of the trading entity, division or subsidiary and words describing the page content with the word List or Listing. At the left or right side of the line is the word Print or Printed and date of printing and the optional RPTP or Shnr or Snum or equivalent with page number increasing by 1 having leading zeros suppressed and can be an alphanumeric string. The preference is heading 1 line has to be produced on the first page only for each different value of the principal data item to be included in a listing, alternatively heading line 1 has to be produced on every page.
Heading 2 line has to show up to 5 words limit 24 chars total length describing the principal data item used for grouping together lines of data for it on one page and any following pages, and type of data value with quote backslash rightbrace or other agreed character. Section Code} and Dept Ref\ and Branch Desc' are examples and line has to show part of data value limit 18 chars and can include up to 7 more words and up to 3 more data values. When a heading 1 line is not produced for a page then show at the left or right side of this line the optional RPTP or Shnr or Snum or equivalent with page number as described earlier.
Subheading 1 line has to show words and characters naming the data items in columns appearing in the data lines of the listing after the heading line.
Subheading 2 line has to show an optional line of words and characters naming data items in some of the columns and can be below subheading 1 line characters.
Subheading 3 line has to show an optional line of words and characters naming data items in some of the columns and can be below subheading 2 line characters.
Data lines
Data 1 line has to show up to 9 data values below the subheading 1 2 and 3 lines and aligned correctly below the subheading line characters. The data line can include fixed or variable words and indication characters in appropriate positions.
Data 2 line has to show an optional line of up to 6 more data values and when necessary the continuing content of 2 data value in data 1 line, below it and aligned correctly below characters in a subheading line or data 1 line. The data line can include fixed or variable words and indication characters in appropriate positions.
Data 3 line has to show an optional line of up to 3 more data values and when necessary the continuing content of 1 data value in data 1 or 2 line, below it and aligned correctly below characters in a subheading line or data 1 or 2 line. The data line can include fixed or variable words and indication characters in appropriate positions.
Subtotal line
Subtotal line is the last line on the only or last page relating to a value of the principal data item and has to show a sum or accumulating of the values of up to 4 numeric result or data items and the word Sbtotl or Acumln or Totl or equivalent before or after a sum value which can be aligned with the relevant result or data value in the last data 1 2 or 3 line. The subtotal line can include other words and indication characters in appropriate positions. A zero sum on all last page indicates a sum is not required for that print of the listing.
Notes toward implementation
In the Data line section the 1 2 or 3 data lines can be regarded as 1 single double or triple line entry and the count of them on a listing page termed and incremented appropriately in a program, an example is limit 14 treble or triple occurrence on a 11 in. long sheet of paper.
When this listing is for storing in a binder or cover the limit of entries printed on a page can be 1 or 2 lower as it is necessary for more space at the top and bottom of a page.
